If you keep getting rejections it might not be your plot that’s the problem but flat and boring characters.
Remember the last good book you read? I’m guessing you enjoyed it because there was at least one character that captured and held your interest. Creating great characters is one of the keys to good fiction and with that in mind I’ve created a short guide titled Write Characters-Creating People Readers Will Love.
It’s available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords and just 99 cents. I hope you find it useful.
Many of you know that I’ve been teaching and tutoring for the last eight years and recently I joined another new teaching platform over at SkillShare.
So far I’ve added two classes, How to Write a Novel in 30 Days and Writing a Synopsis. I’ll be adding more in the coming weeks.
For those of you unfamiliar with SkillShare, the majority of classes are under 30 minutes, some are free where anyone can participate while others (like mine) require you to have a premium membership which is $96 per year and once you have that you can take as many classes are you like.
They also have a trial membership which is 99 cents for three months. And if you have a skill to share, it’s also a great platform to offer your own classes too.
Here are links to both of my classes and I’ll update this once I get new classes added-
